On 21st May, the Sisters of St. Paul de Chartres in Australia gathered in the District House in Brisbane to celebrant Thanksgiving Mass on the 70th Anniversary of Religious Life of Sr. Lucie Ko and the 50th Anniversary of Religious Life of Sr. Nancy Wong.

The most Rev. Mark Coleridge, Archbishop of Brisbane, in his homily reminded the Sisters that their 50th & 70th anniversaries are important milestones on the journey of life blessed with God’s fidelity. Gratitude should be the constant response to the almighty God.

Sr. Nancy expressed her honor to celebrate her Golden Jubilee together with her mentor- Sr. Lucie, who was the assistant of her novice mistress 50 years ago. Sr. Nancy added that Sr. Lucie is a simple Sister who is dedicated to God’s call and always joyful. During her seventy years as a sister of St. Paul de Chartres, Sr. Lucie Ko has played an important role in Hong Kong as well as in Australia. Meanwhile, Sr. Nancy Wong has played different roles in education and aged care ministry during her fifty years as a SPC Sister. Sr. Nancy expressed her gratitude to God and benefactors for her 50 wonderful years of abundant graces and countless blessings .  Despite encountering numerous difficulties, trials & challenges, God has always been looking after them in a very special and tender way as shared by Sr. Nancy. Sr. Nancy prayed that the SPC Sisters would continue to live their consecrated lives with love and joy as they aim to bear witness to Christ in everything that they do.
May our Blessed Mother Mary help them in being faithful to God and serving the people God has entrusted to them.
