The Sisters of Saint Paul de Chartres celebrated the launching of their 325th Year of Congregational Foundation on 16th February, 2021
On 16th February, the birthday of their Founder Fr. Louis Chauvet, the Sisters of St Paul de Chartres in Australia celebrated the launching of the 325th Anniversary of their Congregational Foundation.
Throughout this jubilee year, the Sisters are called to “Remembering” their humble origin, and to evoke a deep sense of humility and gratitude to the Lord. They are also asked to acknowledge their own moment in history by “Renewing” and returning to the essence of their consecrated life which summons them to continuous conversion. Finally, they are challenged to “Responding”, to envisage, and discern the future that beckons them to walk with hope and fidelity in the footsteps of their predecessors – be joyful, authentic, and prophetic witnesses of Jesus Christ in today’s world.
The Charism of our Congregation is “Christ-Centred”, and our aim is to spread the Good News of Christ, like St. Paul in his letter to the Galatians. “I made all things to all people.” We have no territorial preference; we go wherever and whenever there is a need.
By the grace of God, all SPC Sisters stationing in different parts of the world are celebrating the Congregation’s 325th Birthday this year! With grateful hearts, we thank and praise God for His abounding grace and blessings on each of our Sisters, and we humbly ask God’s continual protection and guidance to carry on his mission in over 40 countries spreading over the world’s five continents.
